Professional Development
The Research Ethics Board (REB) is an independent body comprised of medical, scientific, and non-scientific member volunteers, whose responsibility is to ensure the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of human participants involved in research at RVH.
The RVH REB has a mandate to review, approve, and provide continuing ethics review of research protocols and amendments and of the methods and materials used in obtaining and documenting informed consent of study participants. The RVH REB recognizes that human participant research constitutes a broad and diverse range of scholarly activities involving systematic investigation.

February 2019 - Present
As part of an Ontario-wide Hospital Food Satisfaction Project, supervised 2 volunteers for data collection and liased with University of Guelph and University of Waterloo. Supported volunteers in how to obtain consent and complete all aspects of interviews.

Completed research and presented poster at IGNITE research day, Grand Rounds and created education initiative to promote change in practice to nursing units. "Review of Nutrition Screening at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre: Is a Dietitian Consulted on Patients Who are Most at Risk for Malnutrition?"
